He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Anderson; his children, Barry Richards (Patti) of Oberlin, KS, Todd Richards (Ali) of Silt, CO, Doug Richards (Kristy) of Preston, MN, Kristin McHugh (Greg) of Oberlin, KS and Chelsea Richards of Washington, UT.; his grandchildren, Curtis Richards (Amanda), Bryan Richards, Jonathon Richards (Amanda), Andrew Richards (Brooklyn), Jacob Richards, Caleb Richards, Kay Mason (Jordan), Cap Richards (Emily), Jordan McHugh (Cody), Connor McHugh and Tyler McHugh; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Ellie, Trent, Holly, Brylee, Hadley, Oakleigh, Weston, Ruby, Colton, Isabell, Lilly, Hank, Sarah, Bella and Tucker.
