It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Lee (Newton, Kansas), born in Coffeyville, Kansas, who passed away on November 30, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elliott Lee, Jr. and Ellen Dean Lee; and her brother Dwayne Lee. She is survived by: her son Jonathan David Lee (Angela Kaye Lee) of Wichita; her granddaughters, Jacey Blaire Lee, Jordyn Raye Lee and Morgan Joy Lee; and her siblings, Larry Elliot Lee (Barbara Ann Lee) of Newton, Robert Gary Lee (Lavanda Rose Lee) of Menifee, Lindsay Kerwin Lee (Joyce Lee) of Newton, Kansas., Linda Kay Swan (Samuel Lee Swan) of Downey, Donna Marie Bell of Lawrence and Michele Ann Lee of New York City. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

“Elaine - I will miss you! I met Elaine at SallieMae in 1993. Elaine was quiet until we got to know each other. She had such a great smile and I loved to hear her laugh when something funny really got to her. It was such a hearty laugh that would make you join in! She was like my big sister at SallieMae... Keeping me out of trouble in so many ways. We had some good talks. Once SallieMae closed in Lawrence, we still kept in touch. It will not be easy letting GO!”
