He was predeceased by: his parents, Klinton T. Braaten and Ruth M. Braaten (Versdahl). He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, James (Sue) and Lisa Michelsen; his grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Braaten, Eve Abigail Braaten, Alex James Braaten, Ella Maarit Michelsen and Calen Trygve Michelsen; and his brothers, David (Peggy), Kevin (Deb), Paul (Sharon) and Donald (Colleen).
