Dick Imel Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dick Imel of Merriam, Kansas, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 10, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arley James and Hazel Mary Imel (Detlor); and his brothers, William F "Bill" Imel and Robert Leroy Imel. He is survived by: his wife Ethel May Gorgas; his daughter Lauren Imel (Rod Smith); his grandchildren, Olive and Arlo; his great grandchild Brian Imel (Christy); his children, Erica Johnson and Braden Johnson; and also, Janet, Addison Meschke, Robert, Henry, Junia Gail Imel of Denver, CO, Marcia Linn "Marcy" Johnson (Randy) of Concordia, KS, Alex Johnson (Ali) and Charlotte. He is also survived by three children, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Sadly, however, they were unable to share that auspicious occasion due to being in separate facilities because of the coronavirus pandemic.
