He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Tjaden and Tena Tjaden (Wiemers); his daughter Rebecca Tjaden; his brother Vern Tjaden; his siblings-in-law, Leona Tjaden, William Ewald and Anita Nickeson; his great grandchild Everett Tjaden; and his nephew Grant Searcey.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Tjaden (Nickeson); his children, Debra Harris (Robert), Herkimer, Brian Tjaden (Teri), Patricia Chandler (Matthew) of Bonner Springs, KS and Ryan Tjaden (Jamie); and his sister Nelda Ewald of Port Orange, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
