She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Vandahl and Agnes Vandahl (Rasmussen); her husband Robert Edward Johnston; and her siblings, Elmer Vandahl and Helen Holt.
She is survived by: her sister Kathryn Nelson of Manhattan; and her nieces and nephews, Mark Nelson, Kent Nelson (Liz), Kathy Mignano (Tom), Carolyn Mohr (Ken) and Marjean Newcomer. She is also survived by many great nieces, great nephews and friends.
