He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay M. Engelland and Sylvia M. Engelland; his wife Patricia Ruth "Pat" Swenson; and his siblings, Lurton and Joleen Ottlinger.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Kathryn Wilson (Fred) of Traverse City, MI and Telva Swenson of Kansas City, KS.
Memorials may be given to Camp Wa-Ja-To, or the Rice Community Healthcare Foundation (for the Swing Bed Unit) in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
