He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Yessen and Norma Yessen. He is survived by: his children, Scott Yessen (Julie) and Emily Milligan (Tyler); his grandchildren, Elexa Yessen, Cade Yessen, Kate Crisler, Violet Crisler, Greer Milligan and Sloane Milligan; and his siblings, Marsha McBride (Marc) and Mark Yessen (Nancy). He is also survived by one niece, three nephews, five great nieces, one great nephew, and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to KU Endowment for the benefit of KU.
