He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold William and Katharine Elizabeth Lathrop (Dennis); and his siblings, Betsy Cale and Dennis Lathrop. He is survived by: his wife Irene S. Anderson; his sons, William Lathrop of Colorado Springs, Colo and David Lathrop of Olathe, Kan.; his siblings, Dean Lathrop, Linda Lathrop-Davis, Margaret (Jason Vance) and Pat (Tom Clark); and his nieces and nephews, Matt Lathrop, Kasey Williams, Elizabeth Cale-Cohoon, Robert Carney, Jessica Carney, Michael Vance, Megan Vance, Katie Lingor and Gabriel Vance.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Richard Allen Cultural Center, Leavenworth Interfaith Community of Hope or Ft. Leavenworth General Protestant Congregation.
