She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Smith and Theresa Marak Smith; her husband Chuck Helmley; her daughter Jill Palmer; and her sister Joyce Conrad.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Becker (Scott) and Mike Helmley (Linda); her son-in-law Kavin Palmer; her grandchildren, Ashlee Reed (Clint), Justin Helmley and Katie Hughes (Jay); her great grandchildren, Laken, Jacob and Paxton Hughes; her sisters, Judy Ross of Wichita and Dodi Doelling of Kiowa; and her friend Cindy Talley.
Memorials may be given to Kiowa District Hospital through the funeral home.
