It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence J. Davis Sr. of Johnson, Kansas, born in Stilwell, Kansas, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tinsley Davis and Alpha Davis (Madden); his son Timothy Davis; his grandchildren, Stacy Gray and Christopher Kramer; and his siblings, Aleine Davis, Alpha Mae Darnell, Tinsley Davis and Thomas "Bob" Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian "Lou" Carpenter; his children, Debbie Gray of Bismark, Retta Kramer (John) of Milford and Lawrence "Jim" J. Davis, Jr. (Donna) of Olathe, Kansas.; and his grandchildren, Heather Medlin (Thomas) of California, Missouri, Margaret Allenbrand (Mark) of Gardner, Sarah Schmidt (Jim) of Manhattan, Kansas, Andrew Gray (Michelle) of Eagle River, Alaska, Amanda Ressler (Ryan) of Leawood, Kansas, Courtney Durbin (Matt) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Brenten "BJ" Davis (Juanita) of Olathe, Kansas and Matthew Davis of Olathe, Kansas..
