She was predeceased by: her husband Robert E. Cathey; her parents, Neta Heaton (Bangs) and William H.; her stepmother Myrtle Heaton (Cathey); her brother William H. Heaton, Jr.; and her nephew Gary Yantis.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Wendy Helfrich of Hebron, NE and Elizabeth Shirley of Wamego, KS; her stepgranddaughters, Denise Richtsmeier of Ackley, IA and Cynthia Beving of Tucson, AZ; her great grandchildren, Katelyn Shirley of Lawrence, KS, Logan R. Wiedel and Laken Wiedel of Hebron, NE; her nieces, Ruth Heaton, Susan Bolton (John) and Pat Trueworthy (Bob); her nephew George Yantis (Jackie); and her niece-in-law Doris Yantis. She is also survived by 3 step-great granddaughters, 6 step-great-great grandsons, 2 step-great-great granddaughters, half-sister.
