He was predeceased by: his parents, Cortland D. Wartman and Thelma Wartman (Roark); his wives, Emalyn Larson and Leta Baldwin Lawhead; and his sisters, Jean Bitner and Luella Carrithers.
He is survived by: his children, Brad Wartman (Martha) of Salem, Steve Wartman (Tracy) of Salida, Shari Wiens (Roger) of Johnson, Lawhead, Denise Haggard (Randy) of Shell Knob and Mary Davison of Johnson; and his sisters, Carolyn Wartman of Garden City and Katherine Farmer of Ulysses, Kansas. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
