It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Eugene Gowens of Isabel, Kansas, born in Nashville, Kansas, who passed away on March 17, 2021, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Gowens and Charlene Gowens (Murphy); his brother Chuck Kreutzer; and his nephew Roger Romine. He is survived by: his sisters, Kathleen Romine (Don) of Isabel and Sheila Johnston (Rob) of David City, Nebraska; his sister-in-law Ann Kreutzer of Pratt; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa Wiglesworth, Tava Kreutzer, Chuck Kreutzer, Jr., Lashawna Chauncy, Curtis Chauncy, Tonya Dreher, Steven Romine, Wyatt Romine, Deanne Ramirez, Tim Romine, Nikki Goeschel, Brent J. Johnston and Tasha Johnston. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and other children.
