He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Seigmond Karst and Pauline Karst (Miller); his spouse Loene Schwein; his children, Curtis Karst of Great Bend, Craig Karst (Amy) of Hoisington and Colleen Karst (Joe Hines); his siblings, Leonard Karst (May) of Great Bend and Darlene Reber of Roseville, Cal.; his grandchildren, Amber Young (Austin) of Great Bend and Ally Karst of Hoisington; and his great grandchild Bentley Young of Great Bend. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
