She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter J. Rempel and Helena Schmidt Rempel (Schmidt); her siblings, Ella (John Voth), Anna Rempel, Helen (Albert Eck), Elizabeth (Frank Kroeker), Frieda (Elmer Enns), Jacob Rempel, Herb Rempel, Paul (Hannah Rempel) and John (Alma Rempel); and her daughter-in-law Janet Funk (Schmidt).
She is survived by: her children, Gerald Funk (Sharon) of Hillsboro, Elaine Baker (Jim) of Hillsboro, Willard Funk (Mary) of McPherson, Myron Funk (Rochelle) of Wichita and Lyle Funk (Elaine) of Hillsboro; her sister-in-law Lenora Gehring; and also, Goessel and Mary Ann. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
In March of 2020, because of Covid, visitors were not allowed inside Bethesda, so she had to be content with phone calls, Zoom calls and window visits and very little interaction with anyone.
