He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Funk and Anna Funk (Enns); his former wife Maxine Loewen; and his son Richard. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughter Mary Leal (Eric); his daughter-in-law Dorothy Funk (Richard); his children, Janet Mitzner (Ron) and Russell; and his sister Viola Schultz (John). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
