She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Surprise and Audrey Surprise (Kenyon); her husband LaVerne Buchholz; her son Kirk Buchholz; and her brothers, Dell, Curtis, Boyd and David.
She is survived by: her children, DeVerne Buchholz (Sue) of Hillsboro and Jan Frantz (Leonard) of Hillsboro; and her sisters-in-law, Norma Surprise of Fairfax and Donna Surprise of Lions, KS.. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
