He was predeceased by: his brother Freeman; his wife Carol; his son Lionel; and his siblings, Helen, Elizabeth, Alta, Oletha, Margaret, Rosa Stokes, Lawrence and Kenneth.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul of Denver, Steven of Hill City and Schuyler (Charmine) of Jacksonville, Florida; and his sisters, Shirley Ryines of Colorado Springs, Justine Johnson of Houston and Ethel Johnson of Kansas City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
