It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Babst (Goodland, Kansas), born in Hays, Kansas, who passed away on November 22, 2018, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Ward and Hazel Ellen Nolind Ward; her spouse Richard Ray Babst of Winona; her brother Charles H. "Bud" Ward; her granddaughter Laramie Elaine Farris; and her siblings-in-law, James Taylor and Patsy Kahle.
She is survived by: her children, Jack (Cheryl Detamore) of Winona and Nancy Partida (Joseph) of Goodland; her sister Charlene Taylor of Winona; her grandchildren, Jody Crouch (Darren) of Leoti, Matt Babst (Karah) of Chappell, Nebraska and Daniel Bagnell of Galata, Montana; her great grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Kaleb Babst of Colby, Jadee Ray Crouch of Leoti, Colton, Jadyn and Jordyn of Chappell, NE.; and her siblings-in-law, Naomi Ward of Colby and Clarence Kahle of Winona. She is also survived by four nieces, three nephews, and a host of former students and friends.
