She was predeceased by: her parents, James Russell Lanning and Erma Arabelle Lanning (Higley); her husband Duane; her siblings, John E. "Jack" Lanning and Janice Lee; her brother-in-law Leroy Van Cleave; and her granddaughter Tara Lindsey Giess.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Giess (Mike) of Hays, KS, Joy Jansonius (Randall) of Hays, KS, Cindy Cersovsky (Lloyd Jr) of Colby and Sally Graham (Michael) of Hays. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two soon to arrive great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), the First Presbyterian Church, or to the charity of giver's choice.
