He is survived by: his wife Florene Dee Koehn; his grandsons, Nicholas and Ryan Schmidt; his daughter Jane Boeckner (James) of Hiawatha, KS; and his brothers, Kermit Schmidt, Howard Schmidt (Judy) and Norman Schmidt of Moundridge, KS..
