It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard K. Dougherty of Eudora, Kansas, born in Lucas, Kansas, who passed away on March 19, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his sons, William B. and MariAnnette Dougherty (Chard); his wife Shelley Spradlin (Schmidt); his children, Dawn Holecek (Rich) of Paxico, Lindsay Lee (Desmond) of Palm Harbor, Jana Spradlin (Justin) of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Jeff Spradlin of Platte City, Missouri; and his brothers, Tarry Dougherty (Connie) of Lucas, Bernie Dougherty (Linda) of Parsons, Tim Dougherty (Kristie) of Wichita and Todd Dougherty (Teri) of Lucas, Kansas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
A Memorial has been established with the K-18 Baseball Association.
