She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis "Bill" Newkirk and Gladys Newkirk (Laird). She is survived by: her husband JB McCreary; her children, Chanda Starr (Adam) of Emporia, KS and Jay Jasnoski of Overland Park, KS; her stepchildren, Melissa Storrer (Lee) of Overland Park, KS and Matt McCreary (Kelly) of Steamboat Springs, CO; her brothers, Kent Newkirk and Karl Newkirk; her grandchildren, Ariel Starr-Groves (John), Emily Jasnoski, Courtland Starr, Bryant Starr, Camryn Jasnoski, Faith Starr, Ryan Jasnoski, Ethan King, Charlie McCreary and Madeline McCreary; and her pet Bandit.
