She was predeceased by: her parents, John Homer and Mabel Margaret Griffin (Harper); her spouse Edward Neal McCarthy; her daughters-in-law, Sherri McCarthy and Donna McCarthy; her great grandchild Wyatt McCarthy; and her siblings, John D. Griffin, Bill Griffin and Carrol Brennan.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Curtin of Manhattan, KS, Barb Kearney (Robert), John McCarthy (Joan), David McCarthy, Jean Norris (Mike), Dan McCarthy, Bob McCarthy (Melissa) and Anita Lickteig (Dennis); and her nieces and nephews, Kevin Brennan and Theresa Knipp. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Columbine Catholic Cemetery Fund or to Compassionate Care Hospice, Kansas City, MO.
