He was predeceased by: his parents, Lazaro Garcia and Jovita Medrano; and his son David Garcia. He is survived by: his wife Maria Eugenia Sierra Morales; his children, Jose Garcia (Stephanie) of Colorado, Brenda Daniels (Marcus) of Virginia, Yesenia Artiles (Edgar) of Virginia, Mario Garcia of Kansas and Eva Garcia of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Daveon, Annelise, Jayden, Janeesa, Jaylen, Marcus, Jr., Makari and Bellami. He is also survived by 12 siblings.

Memorials are suggested to the Jose Garcia Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
