He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolf Nightengale and Geneva Nightengale (James); his parents-in-law, Stan and Norma Seibel; his grandson Eli Nightengale; his sisters, Mary Duffield and Peg Reimann; his brothers-in-law, Alton "AB" Reimann and Grover Duffield; and his nephew Todd Reimann.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Seibel; his children, Erica Nightengale (Josh Smith), Jarred Nightengale (Kim), Evanne Avant, James Nightengale (Socorro), Christopher and Angel of British Columbia, Canada; his grandchildren, Mia, Hazel, Charlotte, Camden, Keziah, Valor and James Jr.; his brother Jeff Nightengale; and his siblings-in-law, Daryl Seibel and Twilla Oman.
Family suggests memorials to the Dodge City Animal Shelter, Ford County Humane Society or SWKS K9 Pawsibilites all in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
