She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Everett and Willetta Mae Smith (Willard); and her brother Wilson E. Smith. She is survived by: her husband Charles; her children, Rachel Dawson (Andrew) of Sedalia, MO, Aaron Lawhead (Genevieve) of Overland Park, KS and Sarah Lawhead of De Soto, KS; and her siblings, Wayne E. Smith of Ponca City, OK, Warren E. Smith of Prairie Village, KS and Wyndee M. Clark of Olathe, KS. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to De Soto Baptist Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
