He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Coyle and Henry Coyle; his sister Cindy Vance; and his brother-in-law Hank Deyling. He is survived by: his wife Karen; his children, Brandon, Ben and Ashley Witherspoon (Kyle); his grandchildren, Noah, Myah and Lane; his sister Linda Deyling; his parents-in-law, Rosemary and Ed Hall; and his siblings-in-law, Maureen Wise (Steve) and Tracy Hall (Debbie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
