He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Bernard and Christine Opal Everhart (Buchanan). He is survived by: his wife Denise Elaine Hower; his son Jacob Everhart Overland Park (Emily Kessinger); his grandchildren, Lucas Craig Everhart, Connor and Savannah Kessinger; and his siblings, Christine Staten (Craig), Bruce Everhart (Linda) and Bryan Everhart.
