He was predeceased by: his father Roy Benjamin; his daughter Trista Benjamin Smith; his son-in-law Kyle Smith; his father-in-law Paul Michael; and his brother-in-law Wes Brammell.
He is survived by: his mother Charlotte Benjamin (Sweeten) of Emporia; his wife Mary Benjamin; his sons, Gus Benjamin (Morgan) of Emporia, Garrett Benjamin (Caitlin) of Strong City and Trey Benjamin of Strong City; his grandchildren, Chaz Smith, Ralissa Smith, Hunter Smith (Trista), Layton Benjamin, Maddex Gurley, Miller Benjamin (Gus), Makinley Benjamin, Jorie Benjamin and Ander Benjamin (Garrett); his sisters, Sandy Fernandez (David) of Emporia, Christina Lieurance of Emporia and Julie Brammell of Emporia; his mother-in-law Louise Michael of Topeka; and his siblings-in-law, Paula Michael of Topeka, Bryant Michael (Martine) of Lathrop, MO, Edwin Michael (Lazina) of Topeka and Roger Michael of Topeka. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
