She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph "Chester" and Mabel Sawyer (Throne); her sister Lorene Gilkeson; her brother-in-law Harmon Gilkeson; and her nephew Robert Gilkeson.
She is survived by: her niece Ann Gilkeson of Chandler, AZ; her nephews, Ronald Gilkeson of Leoti, KS and David Gilkeson (Vicki) of Concordia, KS; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason Gilkeson (Crystal), Britney, Jordan of Concordia, KS and Erik Gilkeson.
A memorial is established to the Beatrice Educational Foundation.
