She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Esslinger and Flossie Esslinger (Zimmer); her former husband Paul Girard; and her siblings, Eldon, Eugene, Kenneth, Donald Esslinger and Berniece Schreiber.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Girard (Florence) of Concordia, KS, Diane Weaverling of Salina, KS, Kathy Thiessen (Brendon) of Benton, KS and Kevin Girard of Concordia, KS; her grandchildren, Leslie Girard, Evan Weaverling, Ashley Weaverling, Gabriel Hughes (Ashley), Newton, Erica Lee (Jeremy), Jeremy Hughes (Jasmine) and Nicholas Hughes (Megan) of Dacono, CO; and her brother Matt Esslinger of Abilene, KS. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.
The family suggests memorials to Maxine Girard Memorial Fund to be determined at a late time.
