With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Ganstrom of Concordia, Kansas, who passed away on May 31, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Ganstrom and Olga Ganstrom (Landen); his wife Pearl Johnson; and his brothers, Donald (Verna), George (Louise), Landen and Gerald.
He is survived by: his children, Sheldon (Linda) of Hays and Kathryn (Doug) of Concordia; his grandchildren, Jenny Sullivan (Shawn) of Topeka, Landen Ganstrom (Danielle) of Charleston, SC, Alissa Smith (Ben) of Olathe, Tiara Gottschalk (Ryan) of Hays and Russell Herman of Wichita; his great grandchildren, Drew, Grace, Brooke, Claire Sullivan, Lilli, Luna, Penelope Ganstrom, Gavin, Ella, Liam Smith, Lexi Coffey, Katelyn, Nolan Gottschalk, Brianna, Kyren, Taegan, Raegan, Rylee, Treysen, Tyus and Tobin Herman; and his great great grandchildren, Elsie Hines and Hudsyn Coffey.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Baptist Church or Sunset Home, Inc. of Concordia and left in care of the funeral home.
