He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean A. Hanson and Dorothy A. Hanson (Schroth); the mother of his children Kathleen Hanson; his brother David Hanson; and his daughter-in-law Mayra Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Schmidt; his daughter Tricia (Pat Corcoran); his grandchildren, Patrick, Dylan and Abby; his son Derek Hanson; his granddaughter Madalyn; his great grandchild Lilliana; his grandsons, Izaevion and Donovan; and his siblings, Debra Hiett, Dirk (Karen) of Olathe, Drew (Brenda) of Wichita and Dane (Brenda) of Jamestown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
