It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Wakefield of Concordia, Kansas, born in Battle Creek, Michigan, who passed away on September 30, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo E. Wakefield and Emma J. Wakefield (McWatters); his grandson Noah Wakefield; his son-in-law Lowell Matthews; and his sister Shirley Menerey.
He is survived by: his wife Janice R. Oberley; his children, David of Sand Springs, OK, Daniel (Annette), Donald, II (Kathy), Jeannine Matthews of Stillwater, OK, Janette Shipley (Cory) and Juline Wakefield; his siblings, Bonnie Pratt (Eugene) and Roland Wakefield (Lita); and his brothers-in-law, Eugene Oberley (Elaine), Bloomfield and William Menerey. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
