He was predeceased by: his parents, Gaines Wilburn and Vera Sumrall (Sellers); and his brothers, Tommy and Kenneth Sumrall. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Sumrall; his children, James T. "Teddy" Sumrall, Jr. (Denise) of Bagley, Minnesota and Laura Walker of Gulfport, Mississippi; his stepdaughter Brenda Peltzer (Paul) of Andale, Kansas; and his brother Norris Sumrall (Barbara). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
