He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Hein and Emma "Lies" Hein; his wife Marlene Simon; and his brothers, Fred, Clem, Justin and Carl.
He is survived by: his daughter Vicki; his sisters, Thelma Ast and Marilyn Olden (Joe); and his daughters, Helaine Karnes (Ron) of Haysville, Pamela Lies (Dean) of Bel Aire, Susan Elmendorf (Tom) of Lenexa and Victoria Honas (Darryl) of Medicine Lodge. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
