She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rothnie and Jessie Rothnie (Matthew); her former husband John; her siblings, William, Jess Mitchell, Elizabeth Conroy, Andrew, Robert, Patricia Clark and Alexander; and her in-laws, Steven, Thresia Aschenbrenner (Weber), Fred and Mable Gaede (Jenik).
She is survived by: her husband James Gaede of Colby; her children, Jennifer McKinnon (Jim) of Topeka, Suzanna Koel (Lloyd) of Atwood, Sandra Kim Aschenbrenner (Bob Braun) of Lenexa, John Aschenbrenner (Angi) of Leon and Jessica Poe (Chad) of Great Bend; her grandchildren, Nicole McGinley (Logan), Ian McKinnon, Emilee Sack, Jade, Carson Poe, Joseph Dozbaba, Nicholas Koel (Skylar) and Anthony Koel; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Declan McGinley, Henley and Preston Koel; and her siblings, Margaret Ewan (David) and John Rothnie.
Sandra appreciated support during her treatment from the Hope Foundation and was a longtime supporter of Sacred Heart School. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northwest Kansas Foundation for Hope or Sacred Heart Catholic School which can be sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby, KS 67701.
