He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Arthur and Ruth Leone Higerd (Goin). He is survived by: his wife Norma Lee Rikoff of Colby; his children, Myron (Brenda) of Park City, KS, Wm Lynn (Tammy) of Colby, KS, Kent (Janet) of Colby, KS, Roxan Temaat (Scott) of Haysville, KS and Kaylene Deware (David) of Atchison, KS.; his grandchildren, Adam, William, Benjamin, Karen, Angela, Valarie, Bryan, Priscilla, Megan, Aaron, Michael, Hannah and Cristi; and his siblings, Larry Higerd (Kathy) of Gem, KS, Loretta Lesley of Mena, AR and Richard Higerd of Olathe, KS.. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ron's name may be made to the First Baptist Church of Colby or the Alzheimer's Association, and sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, PO Box 391, Colby KS 67701.
