He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgel Byers and Florence Byers (Ratzlaff); and his brother Larry Byers. He is survived by: his wife Marlys LuAnn Byers (Hanson); his children, Debra, Jerry Taylor, Michael, Dawn Byers, Steven and Tammy Byers; his sister Nancee Scherich; and his grandchildren, Jamie Mathis, Zachary Taylor, Joel Taylor, Whitney Stratten, Benjamin Post, Gage Byers, Kayd, Kord Byers, Chase Byers, Tell Byers, Locke Byers, Reese Byers, Sawyer Byers and Sloane Byers. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
