He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Elpers and Anna Elpers (Theis); his significant other Aileen; and his siblings, Clem Elpers, Vince Elpers, Kenneth Elpers, Cliff Elpers, Alvin Elpers, Mary Elpers, Cleopha Breitenbach and Eileen Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Keri McFarland (Robb), Justin Smith, Scott Elpers (Jenn), Gina Koester, Kim Koester and Samantha Layton (Wesley); his great grandchildren, Austin Pitts, Morgan McFarland, Jordyn McFarland, Max Layton, Race Smith and Mia Layton; and his siblings, Roland Elpers (Mary Jane) and Rita Hoffman (Ray).
Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Hospice in lieu of flowers.
