He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Becker and Barbara Becker; his siblings, Vic Becker and Mary Bays-Smythe; and his nephew Greg Metzen.

He is survived by: his child-in-law Dilshan; his grandchildren, Claire, Dylan and Andrew; his wife Brenda; his daughters, Jeanna Ratnayake (Dilshan) and Janelle Becker; his sisters, Agnes Metzen (Donald) and Donna Rausch (Tom); and his sister-in-law Jeanette Becker. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 7 nephews, and over 25 great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Garden Plain High School.
