We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2019, at the age of 78, Richard M. Smith (Westport, Indiana), born in Indianapolis, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank M. Smith and Jean E. Smith (Raeburn); his siblings, Betty Stutler, Jack Smith and Ronald Smith; and his grandson Josh Maddux.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce K. Gibson; his children, Robert Smith (Hilary) of Denver, David Smith (Allie) of Brunswick, Georgia and Tabitha Alvarado (Shawn) of Westport; his siblings, Kay Russell (Bob) of Moores Hill, Indiana, Alec Smith (Dephane) of Milan and Dale Smith (Claudia) of Largo, Florida; his grandchildren, Jessica, Christopher, Hannah, Sarah, Evelyn, Maggie, Evie, Seth, Gabby, Christina, Alisha and Jonathon; and his great grandchildren, Mya, Danielle, Malina, Braydon, Danny, Katlyn, Bethanie and Dante. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Baptist Church or the Westport Volunteer Fire Department through the funeral home.
