He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett T. Likens and Barberine Williams Likens; and his siblings, Ronnie Likens, Stacy Likens, Odessa Likens and Sandra Likens.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Rowley Likens; his children, James Likens (Jennifer), Michael Likens (Robin) and Jami Griffin (Matt); his grandchildren, Brant, Josh, Dirk (Christina), Brady, Caleb, Lexi (Devin), Sadee and Baylor; and his siblings, Everett Likens (Kathy) and Pam Bennett (Eddie). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the West Vigo High School Fishing Team, in his memory.
