He is survived by: his children, Christina "Tina" Atkinson (Larry, Sr.), David Shaffer, Jr. (Lynn) of Bradley and Steven Shaffer (Cindy); his grandchildren, Larry Atkinson, Jr. (Brittany), Tyler Atkinson, Austin Ibe, Tra'Ibe, Rachelle Hillhouse (Jeremy), Rebecca Keller (Jacob), Renee Roberts, Emily Shaffer and Rhyan Shaffer; his great grandchildren, Easton Atkinson, Blaine Atkinson, Casen Atkinson, Hailey Hillhouse, Peyton Keller, Aria Keller and Able Keller; and his brother Charles Schaffer, Jr. (Judy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
