He was predeceased by: his parents, David Edward and Edna Bruner (Robinson); his son Paul Joe Bruner; and his siblings, Clarence Bruner, Harold Bruner, Harlin Bruner, Aline Darbutt, Charles Bruner, Donald Bruner, Mary Webster, David Bruner Jr., Edina Jackson, Audrey McNaughton, Orval Ralph Bruner and Esther May Bruner.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Bruner (Savage); his children, Deborah McKibben of Washington, Shirley Stangle (John) of Vincennes and David Bruner of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Leslie White (Charles), Ashley Burton (Jerry), Adam Stangle (Nichol), Brooke Patterson (Josh), Victoria Salmond (Scott) and David Bruner (Holly); his brother Gerald Bruner; his daughter-in-law Patty Bruner; and his daughter Amy Caurro (Steve). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; 3 step-grandchildren.
