He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias J. Kilps and Theresa Kilps (Kidwell); his wife Wilma Ruth (Lynch); his siblings, Dale Kilps, Doris Strange and Rita Burns; his parents-in-law, Roy M. and Edith Lynch (Ellis); and his siblings-in-law, Doris Allen, Rosemary McPherson, Dorothy Masten, Ellis Lynch and Melvin Lynch.
He is survived by: his children, James J. Kilps (Vicki) of Liberty Township, Ohio, Jerry E. Kilps (Renee) of Liberty Township, Ohio, Jo Ann Blake (Terry) of Carmel and Janet Chestnut (Mike) of Washington; his sisters, Ruth Bradley and Vera McLemore; his sister-in-law Lorene Kilps of Washington; his grandchildren, Nick Blake (Katie), Chris Blake (Brietta), Amanda Dougherty (Tyler), Kyle May (Lindsay), Kaycie Huffman (Tyler), Kory May, Thomas Kilps (Hannah), Tyler Kilps (Emily), Luke Kilps, Hannah Kilps, Noah Kilps, Bethany Kay (Ryan) and Taylore Fitzsimmons (Joey); his great grandchild McKenna Blake; and his grandchildren, Dylan Blake, Drew Blake, Cole Blake, Jase Blake, Clayton Dougherty, Harrison Dougherty, Jace Kilps, Liam Kilps, Josephine Huffman, Norah Huffman, Bailey Kay, Camden Kay, Mara Kay, Simon Fitzsimmons and Frankie Fitzsimmons. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
