He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Austin and Blanche E. Shake (Riker); his siblings, Delmon Shake and Maxine Chandler; and his grandson Sheldon Matthew Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Shake; and his children, Natalie Smith (Greg) of Washington, Dale A. Shake of Washington, Janelle Purdue (Larry) of Washington and Kirk Shake (Melissa) of Washington. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
The Shake family has requested no flowers be sent and memorial contributions can be made in Dale's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Hillside Manor Nursing Home.
