He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe McKenzie and Maude McKenzie (Miller); his wife Phyllis Rhue Shriver; his son Rick McKenzie; his daughter-in-law Hazel McKenzie; and his siblings, Charles McKenzie and Opal Bradley.
He is survived by: his grandson Zeke; his children, Mike Shepherd (Von) of Claypool, Silver Lake of Claypool, Tony McKenzie of Claypool, Ron McKenzie of Claypool and Cathy Cox (David); his siblings, Edith West (Terry), Larry (Sandy), Earl McKenzie (Dee), Erma Brandon and Ethel Stone (Larry); and his grandchildren, Curtis, Vada Whitaker and Willie McKenzie. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
